Site description:  Intervened mainland forest, crops and human settlements next to the Ayayacu River.

Common name: Gold-striped Frog

Natural History: Primary and secondary tropical humid forest. It can be found at the edge of the forest. It is usually observed near the entrances to ant nests, and males have been recorded singing next to the nests or from their underground chambers.

General distribution: Amazon from Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia and Brazil to southern Venezuela and the Guyanas; possibly Trinidad.

Distribution in Ecuador: Amazonia
